Flash Resources for teachers by Stewart J J Davies |
Many of these resources can be edited to suit your needs by editing the xml file for each using notepad. Different examples are shown. These files are quite large and take a few seconds to load on broadband. Downloads are zip files and contain html, swf, xml and fla source. Ask your IT expert for help if you are unsure. Click on the images to try online or download for use on your own pc for editing or faster use. Download files are compressed into zip files. Using Windows XP, no additional software is needed to unzip downloads. For older versions of windows, try Winzip or Zipit for the mac To play flash movies you will need to install Flash Player from here To play powerpoint files when you don't have powerpoint installed, download the powerpoint viewer here Terms: These resources are given freely to be used and edited as you please, source code is included for flash developers and may be used to edit games. Games, even if edited are not to be redistributed or sold. This is a non-profit venture but if you enjoy my games, donations would be gladly received through paypal: |

Who wants to be a millionaire |
A simple clock with interactive hands. Useful when teaching time. Updated to include a range of faces and hands. |
A game written by a pupil in my class - Sarah Rees in 2009. Mulitiple Choice quiz, change the questions in the XML file. |
A Flash version of this popular game This game is the traditional Millionairre game - It has its own xml file so that you can change the questions. Better than the powerpoint version below because the correct answer is in a random place each time and 50 50 and ask the audience work (less likely to be correct as the game progresses). It works on the same basis as all my other games, so watch a showme video to see how to use! |
| WARNING DictionaryDuel uses a full dictionary to search for words. The computer may suggest words which some people may consider to be offensive. The dictionary of over 100000 words can be edited to remove these words, or add any missing words. WARNING DictionaryDuel is a memory and processor intensive game when the dictionary is being searched. The application may run very slowly on old or low specificaiton computers and works best on new, high spec. machines. |
