The Internet and our school network are powerful tools, which open up new opportunities for everyone. We want everyone to have access to the wealth of cultural and scientific material to be found on the Internet. However, we are equally determined to ensure that we use the equipment we have properly. We all share a responsibility to make sure that the Internet and school computers are used appropriately and safely. Misuse could leave you with restricted access.
Please can all pupils in my group check the Catering web page for instructions for Tuesday\'s lesson (17th March).
All pupils in 11.1, 11.2, and 11.3 will be sitting their examination on Tuesday 17th and Wednesday 18th of March (all day). All pupils in 11.4, 11.5, and 11.6 will be sitting their examination on Thursday 19th and Friday 20th of March (all day). Pupils are expected to wear school uniform and report to their expressive arts teacher after registration on the above dates.

Any pupils with unwanted Swansea City F.C. away ticket stubs would be gratefully welcomed by Mr A John. ASAP please
Thursday 12th March is a non-uniform school day. Pupils can wear casual clothing no high heels.
The June 2009 series of exams will be upon us soon. The exam period extends from Tuesday 12th May 2009 until Monday 22nd June 2009. Individual timetables are now available. These should be checked carefully and any errors reported to Mrs Hamer as soon as possible.
If you are interested in helping the school to win a competition that will result in \\\"Elliot Minor\\\" performing an exclusive concert in school for free, all you have to do is log onto your myspace account and vote for Sandfields! Every pupil logging on will earn the school a point and the school in Wales with the most votes will win the concert. As we are a small school, perhaps you could encourage anybody else who you know has a myspace account to vote for us too! Voting will close on Friday 27th March.

The Year 9 Options Evening takes place on Thursday 12th March 2009 at 6:00 p.m. in the Great Hall. The Year 9 Parents Evening takes place on Tuesday 17th March 2009 at 3:45 p.m. in the Lower School Hall. Invitations have been sent to all Year 9 pupils\' parents and carers.
A big thank you to the year 9 pupils who attended the ICT taster session at Neath College. The tutors at the college said it was a pleasure to have you there. You are all a credit to this school!
Tickets for the show are now available from the school office or the Lower School Foyer every Wednesday and Friday Lunchtime 1.00 - 1.20. Tickets cost £5 for Adults and £4 for Children/OAP\'s.
Tuesday 3rd March - Home Vs Dyffryn Comprehensive. Please can you let Mr Watkins know your availability ASAP. Remember - If you wish to be considered for matches you MUST train on Wednesdays!
The St.David\'s Day Eisteddfod will be held on Friday, February 27th lesson 1 & 2. Make sure your competition entries are in as soon as possible to help your house win this year\'s cup. Friday will be a non-school uniform day, so bring £1 for charity and wear your house colours or red for Wales
After another successful ski trip places are now available for Austria 2010. Any pupils interested in this fantastic experience should collect a consent form from the PE Department as soon as possible as places are going fast.
The long awaited pictorial celebration of Sandfields Comp is now available. It is a fabulous collection of photographs from the day the school was opened in 1958,right up to the present. It was the idea of Mr Lloyd Williams that the school should produce this wonderful book. Mr David Roberts of Bryngold books has edited ‘The Comp at Fifty, which is available for £15 promises to be a fascinating read!
